Cesari was founded in 1936 by Gerardo Cesari who set out to produce an Amarone capable of competing with the great red wines of the world. Joined by his son Franco in the early 1960s, operations were expanded in an effort to conquer the export market. As one of the first Italian wines to be exported to all five continents, the Cesari name quickly became synonymous with Amarone the world round. The winery continues to evolve while staying true to its regional roots.

Farina Amarone Della Valpolicella 2019 750ml

Zenato Amarone is a blend of Corvina and Rondinella, with a touch of Croatina and Oseleta. Corvina is prized not only for its intense marasca cherry flavor, but also its ability to withstand the drying process. Used in small quantities Rondinella also fares well in drying, and contributes dark color and an alluring floral note. Oseleta provides tannic structure and minerality; while Croatina is introduced to add youthful fruitiness.

Antiche Terre Venete Amarone - the noble wine, produced from the best grapes, chosen by hand. After harvest, the grapes are placed in crates and brought to a temperature-controlled environment where they undergo a natural process of drying that last from three to four months. The drying concentrates the sugar content and flavors - a big part of the Amarone secret.
