The Okumidori cultivar imparts a perfectly balanced and complete taste to the matcha, characterized by creaminess, a full body, and subtle notes of fresh spinach and asparagus. It is free from any bitterness, and its exceptional quality makes it suitable for use in koicha, a thick paste made from only the finest grade matcha. About the Farm The farm is located in Wazuka near Kyoto, which is a historical area known for producing matcha tea. The traditional Japanese method of consuming matcha is in powdered form, and the first tea plants grown in Japan were at Kozanji temple in the Toganoo mountains, just outside Kyoto.
