This clay is called Ghassoul or Rhassoul that is derived from the verb Rassala, which means to wash in Arabic. Ghassoul is obtained in Morocco and extracted from famous reservoirs on the brink of the Atlas Mountains, in the Moulouya valley, approximately 150 to 200 km away from Fes.
