TWO VOLUMES: THE HOLY BIBLE. ANCIENT AND NEW TESTAMENT, ed. Armando Curcio Editore Collana Aurea. 2 tomes in Atlantic format. Full leather binding with 4 ribs to spine. Hot engravings and gold embossing to the paitti and spine. Two silk page marker strings. Gilt-stamped endpapers. 736 pages per tome. 230 photos in the two tomes. Printed on 170 g Freelife Ivory paper specially made by Fedrigoni paper mills. Circulation of 1999 copies. Ours is 1367. Copies are hand-numbered and each volume is stamped with the imprimatur of the Vatican. The graphic features are inspired by Gutemberg's Holy Bible. The study on the friezes and iconographies refer to the 18th century, a period when Monsignor Antonio Martini translated the text of the Bible and on whose translation work the present work is based. The 2 tomes are protected by mute parchment paper and contained in shockproof cardboard publishing cases with printed titles and friezes.
