The level of your characters defines your power. Higher level Shinobi means a more powerful Shinobi. You can level up through exp points. Level 1 Ninja requires 50 exp to become Level 2 Level 2 Ninja requires 100 exp Similarily, exp required to go to the next level= Your current level x 50.
