Ender 3 - Firmware Upgrade with bootloader via BLTouch Upgrade Kit (confirmed working)

I got the bl touch for Christmas yesterday, but it turns out the motherboard I have isn't compatible. The slot where it's supposed to plug in isn't there. Is it worth it to upgrade my motherboard or something, or should I just throw it out? : r/ender3
